THE PRUNING CHAINSAW IS LIGHTWEIGHT WHICH IS A PLUS ---HENCE IT CAN BE CARRIED EASILY INTO CONFINED OVERGROWN BRUSHY AREAS WHERE IT WOULD BE DIFFICULT TO CARRY AND START A LARGE GAS CHAINSAW .IT IS WELL BALANCED .GOOD FOR CUTTING WOODY BRUSH BUT BEWARE IT WILL SKIP AND HAS KICKBACK ON SMALLER BRANCHES AND JUST A WORD OF CAUTION IT HAS A LOT OF TORQUE FOR A SAW OF ITS SIZE .AT PRESENT IT IS DIFFICULT TO OBTAIN EXTRA BATTERYS---IT COMES WITH A BATTERY CHARGER AND 1 LITHIUM 20 VOLT 2 AH BATTERY.IT COMES WITH 1 CHAIN SO START LOOKING ON E BAY FOR THE CORRECT CHAIN AS THEY ARE ONLY AVAILBLE FROM CHINA AS ARE THE BARS . I have an overgrown yard to take care of, and the mini chain saw helps a lot. It can do the job efficiently without too much effort.
So impressed with this hand held battery operated chainsaw. I was about ready to spend 2-3 times more on a name brand at a big box store but discovered and purchased instead. Very sleek design and lightweight makes cutting down light to medium sized foliage a breeze.Picture illustrates what I was able to take down on one full battery charge! Did not experience any issues with overheating or chain coming off bar even when cutting through larger branches. Battery fully recharged within a couple of hours too.Very pleased with purchase and I will be expanding my KIMO arsenal with one of their leaf blowers next.
We've had this a couple of months now, so have had time to get familiar with it.It's a great little tool for doing jobs (such as lopping small to medium sized branches) that would get tedious with manual loppers, but are either too small or in too awkward a location for a standard small chainsaw. It's lightweight and maneuverable enough for one-handed operation, which means you can get into spots that might be awkward with a regular small chainsaw, and it can handle limbs several inches in diameter that a manual lopper couldn't.That light weight comes with a couple of tradeoffs, of course. You can't really rely on the saw's on weight to push down while cutting through a limb, so you'll have to put a small bit of effort into that. Nor is there an oil chamber to keep the chain lubed - you'll need to add a few drops of oil to the chain yourself on a regular basis. A bottle with a long nose is provided for the purpose - it works fine, it's just one extra thing to keep track of as you work.Nor will you work all day (or even a full hour) on a single battery, or course. I'd love to see a larger battery as an option, but so far I'm not aware of one.
Arrived early and almost fully charged. Its so lightweight and really does a great job with taking off branches and removing small trees! My favorite thing is the battery...it has a clip that makes it easy to remove and put back on. As a 67 year old woman this matters (I have a drill that I need help getting the battery off) so this a really nice feature for me. I'll be buying again when I need something else. Their store offers lots of "fun" power tools!
